and this is why i love 209'05 so, so much.and nothing can ever ever change that.
yesterday was 209 barbecue, and it only served as a reminder of how great our class was. despite the fact that not the entire class was there, it was fun, and the 209 spirit was really felt.
that is something i know and accept that 303 cannot ever achieve but whatever, just one more year and i'll be reunited with 209 in RJ. well, it's your business if you chose to read this but this is MY blog.
anyway, i will not dwell on unhappy things, because they are just not worth my precious time.
209'05 barbecue!
i am sorry to say that there would be no pictures because andrea the great photographer was not there.
anyway, here it goes. eileen and i were late, so we met the rest at clementi ntuc to buy the food, but they were already done with the shopping, so we went to xiaodi's house together <3
the function room was rather spacious, and we had fun doing spastic stuff inside like banging on the wall and disturbing the neighbouring residents whom appeared to be studying but were blasting music so loud that even I would disapprove of :D
so weiting eileen and rachel were massaging the chicken and marinating it with teriyaki sauce! and we since realised that every barbecue needs sanqian to supervise, see that's how our class has CHEMISTRY asshum asshum (: and rachel, flora and i were breaking the sweet potatoes and corn with our bare hands untill the knife arrived then we were chopping them into random pieces.
after that we painstakingly skewered the satay ONE by ONE, and they turned out to be really really nice too! and after we weren done with one batch and we were good and proud of ourselves, we found another packet of satay in the bag, so we did that ALLLLL over again. but it was fun. the feeling of raw meat on your hands is.... CUTE :D
following which, we chopped up the sausages and marinated them (we were bored. and we had too much sauce) and we put them on the satay sticks so artistically (thanks to my inate artistic ability) and they looked so tantalizing i just HAD to eat one.. without heating it up. and man, was it good! (Y).
when there was finally nothing to do, maria nikhita dharsh, weiting, rachphoa, flora played bluff. and when i took over weiting, her number of cards multiplied quickly, because i am just so honest and do not like to lie. honesty is the best policy, haven't you heard? fine, it's just an excuse because i suck at bluff anyway, it's so much easier on neopets! xP
okay, anyway, after that rach and i, The Firelighters, started the fire by building little fences with charcoal and lighting them up then fanning furiously at it, just like the previous 209 chalet except the last time, we had an electric fan named TOYOMI to help us :D
after a while, the fire was finally warm enough to cook food. so we piled all the food to cook. so eileen rach and i were the cooks of the day and we cooked alot of food (albeit some not fully cooked) and it tasted GOOD okay. (Y)
while we were sweating it out at the pit,the other niners were laughing like crazy in the function room (okay, maybe it was just wanxin laughing at weiting) but 209 is LOUD AND COOL LIKE THAT <3
and in the end we finished all the chicken wings and satay and sausages! the niners are big eaters, man! and we went to play pool in the smelly room and i didnt see the door to the stupid enclosure. but once i stepped in the room this incapitulating stench filled my nose and i ran over in horror. untill i got myself mentally prepared, then i entered the room. but the ah bengs that went in before us must have been really, REALLY smelly.
after everything and some niners, left, the rest of us went to the swimming pool and swam in our clothes! much to the discontent of other residents, but who cares that's what our youth is for, to screw up and do spastic things. then we were piggybacking each other and doing water ballet in the pool. seems liek such a long time since i had tht much fun! :D
209 will never be replaced in my heart man! :D
and after our swim, we went to the toilet, changed, and sat in the sauna to dry off, then we walke out to the MRT together. yenlin, nike, weiting, nellie, eileen, dharsh and i, though nellie was half blind because her contact fell out of her eye =\
then we had a group hug at the MRT station and everyone was staring at us, but :D we are COOL LIKE THAT. afte rhtat we all went home to have a well-deserved rest (:
later at night yityng smsed me: hey huiwen thanks so much for coming! love you! :D
then i really felt that no matter what happens, i still have great friends backing me up. so flame me all you want, :D
and 209, sincerely, i love you guys so so so much! even though not all of you turned up, i love you all the same <3
